Juxon & Sail Street

The projects at Juxon and Sail Street provide 70 affordable pocket homes to local first-time buyers. To complete the Sail Street project on the upper level using the volumetric modular system a number of bespoke solutions were required to modify the selected system. The layout required the top floor modules displaced towards the railway line by cantilevering over the lower modules, changing the apartment views over the railway and back toward the City. This required innovation within the modular system allowing the walkway to switch sides and cantilever the rooms over the lower walkways. In addition, the upper levels of the modules departed from the standard one-bedroom pocket layout so wider modules were required. This resulted in a misalignment of all four walls of the upper level modules on the standard layouts below. MJH provided a structural solution for the volumetric modules for the layout changes using the full flexibility of the Vision Modular System.
